I constantly get asked to add social sharing buttons to sites. Freelance clients default to wanting the native Facebook "Like" or "Recommend" buttons, Tweet buttons, and an assortment of others. The problem is that these buttons add a ton of bloat to your site and can seriously affect page load times.
I created a simple set of buttons that don't bloat your page. Available in a few styles, the buttons are created with simple markup, basic Sass (with a vanilla CSS option), and a few API calls to check how many times the page has been shared.
